The selfies are a collaborative project that began in 2020 when I lost access to all my models. Since then friends and acquaintances have been sending me selfies to embroider. With selfies I have the chance to present images of people as they wish to be seen. I also appreciate the collision of quick textureless digital images in the painstaking and tactile medium of embroidery.
